THINGS I DID LAST SUMMER: GREECE BY FERRY FROM VENICE

We took the Minoan Ferry Lines from Venice to Greece. It was an overnight cruise and just like a real cruise ship. We had our own cabin and felt like it was a bit of extra luxury. The Dalmation Coast is beautiful making the journey even more a delight.
We sailed into Igoumenitsa and later took the bus down the coast to Parga, a lovely town that was famous in Ali Pasha's time. Then we went on to Lefkada. One day we took the ferry over to Fiskardo, once a pirate's haunt on the north end of Kefalonia. We'd both been there before and enjoyed our visits there so it made a very nice days outing.
A Venetian lighthouse and castle remains at Fiskardo
Fiskardo Harbour.
The port was named for a famous pirate, Robert Fiscard, who used to hide out here.
